7 Dirty Items You Never Clean

By Naturally Savvy

The seven dirtiest items in your house are probably the ones you never think to clean. Naturally Savvy Founder Andrea Donsky outlines the biggest bacterial offenders on CityLine—and shares tips for keeping these culprits clean.
1. Our shoes. Our shoes harbor so much bacteria! Germs can live in unexpected places and transfer from the bottom of our shoes to carpets and tiles in our house.

2. Kitchen sponges. The kitchen sponge is the dirtiest thing in our kitchen. You can boil it in hot water for 10 minutes or put it through the dishwasher to get rid of all that bacteria.

3. Our phones. 1 in 6 people have fecal matter on our phones. Yep, fecal matter. Wipe it down with tea tree oil on a cotton bud every time you come home.

4. The remote. Remotes and video game controllers and are one of the hotspots for the cold virus. Clean them in the same way you clean your phone.

Watch the video below to find out where else germs hide in plain sight!
