Issue: Do you use cotton balls to remove your makeup? Seems like a minor subject, but if you are conscious about the pesticides in your skin and makeup products, you need to know the facts about cotton balls. Conventional cotton crops are subject to the third-heaviest toxic chemical pesticide usage in the world. Cotton farming is also considered one of the world's most polluting forms of agriculture (in California, five of the top nine pesticides used on cotton are cancer-causing chemicals). So, the fact is, when you use regular cotton balls, you are directly applying traces of harmful chemicals and bleach residues to your skin.

Solution: Organic cotton balls (ask for them at your local health market). Organic cotton is grown without synthetic pesticides or fertilizers, so the end product, even your minor little cotton ball is damaging to your skin, your health...and let us not forget...your environment.
