What is Biodiesel?
Biodiesel can be used to diesel engines from everything such as vehicles, boats, generators and oil home heating units. Diesel engines were originally created to run on peanut oil. So the conversion for today’s modern diesel engine requires few to no modifications. Biodiesel is nearly carbon-neutral, meaning it releases far less CO2 and a fraction of the air pollutants of regular diesel fuel. Therefore, it contributes almost zero emissions to global warming! As for the environment, it’s safe, even if it gets into our water because it’s only vegetable oil! Even though Biodiesel is still in the research stage it is becoming popular worldwide, in fact major cities on the West Coast, have at least one filling station that offers Biodiesel already.
