Ingredient Lists on Products

Q: Are ingredients listed by volume? Or by weight?

A: Ingredients on products are always listed in order by WEIGHT.

We often recommend examining the first 5 ingredients primarily and avoiding those foods with any suspect ingredients among that list, but I think it's necessary to study the entire list of ingredients. While substances like MSG are very light they can be quite potent.
