4 Dairy-Free Ice Cream Recipes




July is here and we're extra glad because it's National Ice Cream Month! Traditional ice cream isn't always the best options since it's full of artificial flavors and colors, not to mention all that sugar. We've got four simple (and sweet) dairy-free "nice cream" recipes that you can whip up in no time—no ice cream maker required. This homemade treat is super versatile so be sure to experiment with your favorite flavors!

Berry Banana Nice Cream

Ingredients

2 bananas, frozen and chopped
1 cup strawberries

Directions

Peel and chop bananas before freezing. Using a food processor, blend the bananas and strawberries together for 3-5 minutes. Scrape down the sides as necessary and keep blending until the mixture is smooth but not runny.



Mango Mint Nice Cream


Ingredients

1.5 bananas, frozen and chopped
1 cup mango
7 fresh mint leaves

Directions

Peel and chop bananas before freezing. Using a food processor, blend the bananas, mango, and mint together for 3-5 minutes. Scrape down the sides as necessary and keep blending until the mixture is smooth but not runny. Garnish with extra mint if desired.

Chocolate Nice Cream

Ingredients


2 bananas, frozen and chopped
2 tbsp cocoa powder

Directions

Peel and chop bananas before freezing. Using a food processor, blend the bananas and cocoa powder together for 3-5 minutes. Scrape down the sides as necessary and keep blending until the mixture is smooth but not runny.

Matcha Green Tea Nice Cream

Ingredients

2 bananas, frozen and chopped
1 tbsp matcha powder
Stevia or Xylitol as desired

Directions

Peel and chop bananas before freezing. Using a food processor, blend the bananas and match powder together for 3-5 minutes. Scrape down the sides as necessary and keep blending until the mixture is smooth but not runny. Taste and add sweetener if necessary.
