Andrea's French Toast

If you're looking for a crowd-pleasing breakfast, this caramelized French toast was a huge hit in our house—my husband loved it! Top with your favourite fruit for a simple but special morning meal. I used coconut palm sugar instead of refined sugar, but you can read more about other natural sweeteners here

Ingredients

4 Tbsp Melt Organic
1/2 cup milk or non-dairy milk
6 eggs
1/8 tsp salt
8 slices whole wheat bread
1 cup coconut palm sugar
powdered sugar
sliced fruit

Directions

Melt 2 Tbsp of Melt Organic in a skillet over medium to high heat.
Mix eggs, milk, and salt. Dip each slice of bread in the egg mixture and cook 4 slices in the skillet until golden brown on both sides. Add the remaining butter to the skillet and cook the other 4 slices of bread. Set aside.
Add coconut palm sugar to the skillet, add boiled water, and stir. Coat each slice of French toast. Top with powdered sugar and sliced fruit.
