Oven Baked Fries Recipe

The sunflower oil used in this recipe is made specifically for high temperature cooking. With its high smoke point (180ºC / 356ºF) it is a great choice for all of your cooking and baking needs.

Ingredients:

2-3 Tbsp (30-45 mL) Maison Orphée Sunflower Oil for Cooking
1 tsp (5 ml) smoked paprika (optional)
6 red potatoes, scrubbed, unpeeled and quartered (cut lengthwise)
Maison Orphée Sea ​Salt with Aromatic herbs
Pepper to taste

Directions:

Preheat oven to 400ºF (200ºC). Place rack in center of oven. In a large bowl, combine oil and smoked paprika. Add potatoes, sea salt and pepper. Mix well to coat the all potatoes. Pour the potatoes on a large baking sheet in a single layer and make sure they do not touch each other. Bake about 20 minutes or until chips are golden brown, turning halfway through cooking with a spatula.

Serve with Homemade Mayonnaise.

Variations:

- Replace Sea Salt with Aromatic Herbs with Grey Sea Salt or Sea Salt with Herbs de Provence.
