I have been doing a bit of experimenting with products lately to see if I could created anything that works as well as or better than current products on the market. As a business owner, I look for ways to reduce my costs, and I also look for ways to create a healthier environment for my employees and my clients.
Magic Erasers are all the rage in the cleaning community, but I’ve effectively been able to STOP using Magic Erasers by using baking soda (of course, leave it to good old baking soda). What we do is apply a pinch of baking soda to a wet cloth and gently rub the affected area (wall, door, light switch plate) with the cloth. The mark comes right off (magically, of course), and no chemicals were required in the process. Make sure you wipe the wall clean! The one caveat with baking soda is that it is incredibly fine and can leave a chalky reside if not properly wiped away.
You can even use this in the tub (another popular place to use the Magic Eraser). The baking soda with water provides enough abrasion to remove the soap scum. Believe me! It’s also cheap and really easy, so we love it. Enjoy!
