DIY Tea Lattes 4 Ways

As summer turns to fall, it's nice to have the choice between a comforting warm latte and a refreshing iced one! Savor the season as you sip on one of these twists on traditional lattes made with tea. Experiment with your favorite flavors, milks, and add-ons. Energizing Matcha Latte

Ingredients

1/2 cup hot water

1/2 cup hot coconut or almond milk

1 tsp matcha powder

Honey, agave, or Xylitol to taste

Directions

Prepare the matcha in a bowl or large mug by whisking it with a third of the water. You can get a special matcha bamboo whisk, but a small whisk or even a spoon will do just fine. Make sure to blend until smooth. Add remaining water and milk, sweetening to taste. If you have a milk frother, froth half the milk before adding to the mug.

Comforting Chai Latte

Ingredients

1 Bigelow Spice Chai tea bag

1/4 cup hot water

3/4 cup non-dairy milk

Honey, agave, or Xylitol to taste

Cinnamon and nutmeg

Directions

Steep the tea for 4 minutes in the hot water. While it is steeping, warm the milk in a pot or a milk steamer. Pour over tea, sweeten to taste, and top with nutmeg and cinnamon.

Mint Grey Iced Tea Latte

Ingredients

1 bag each Bigelow Earl Grey and Mint Medley tea

1/2 cup water

1/2 cup non-dairy milk

Honey, agave, or Xylitol to taste

Ice

Directions

Heat the milk and water mix in a pot or a milk steamer. Add tea bags and steep 5-10 minutes. Remove teabags and add plenty of ice. Sweeten to taste.

Blooming Berry Caffeine-Free Iced Tea Latte

Ingredients

1 bag each Bigelow Wild Blueberry, Red Raspberry, and Cranberry Hibiscus herbal tea

3/4 cup water

1/4 cup non-dairy milk

Honey, agave, or Xylitol to taste

Ice

Hibiscus flowers (optional)

Directions

Heat the milk and water mix in a pot or a milk steamer. Add tea bags and steep 5-10 minutes. Remove teabags and add plenty of ice. Sweeten to taste. Garnish with hibiscus flowers.
