Aloe vera can be used internally for many health benefits including improving digestive health and increasing the nutrients we absorb from our food and supplements. Here we combine aloe vera with blueberries, bananas, non-dairy milk, and protein powder for a nutrient-rich and filling smoothie. This one has potassium from the bananas to help with blood pressure balance and the blueberries are an excellent source of phytonutrients shown to have brain health benefits. And it tastes so yummy!
½ cup frozen blueberries
½ cup non-daily milk
2 tbsp Lily of the Desert aloe vera juice
1 scoop vanilla or unflavored protein powder
Add all ingredients into a blender, blend well and enjoy.
