The most common genetically modified foods are some of the most common foods on the grocery shelves and in our pantries.

Due to numerous health and safety concerns, and known environmental and economical impacts, many countries require GMO labeling or ban GMOs altogether. But despite petitions and appeals for state and federal regulations on GMO labeling in the U.S., at present the best way to avoid GMOs is to be a vigilant label reader and watch out for the 8 most common genetically modified foods.

You can only be sure you are eating the above items GMO-free by purchasing foods that are certified organic or verified by the Non-GMO Project. Until mandatory GMO labeling becomes a reality, identifying these top offenders is your best tool for keeping GMOs out of your home.
