We love chocolate! Especially dark chocolate. However, we don't like the refined sugar that is found in most chocolates, so here is a wonderful recipe with all the taste and none of the refined sugar!
Ingredients:
- 8 oz (8 squares) unsweetened Baker's chocolate
- 1 cup raw or unpasteurized honey
- 1 cup toasted chopped almonds
- 1 cup raisins
Steps/Methods:
- Melt the chocolate in a double boiler or in a glass bowl over a pot of boiling water.
- Once melted, add the honey and stir until thoroughly combined and glossy in color.
- Remove the chocolate from the heat and add the toasted almonds and raisins. Stir to combine well.
- Pour the chocolate mixture onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and pat flat to desired thickness.
- Put in the freezer until set. Chop into smaller pieces and store in the freezer for hard chocolate or in the fridge for softer chocolate.
Additional Tips:
- 8 oz (8 squares) unsweetened Baker's chocolate
