Hemp is an amazing plant from which nearly every part of the plant can be used plus it doesn't need herbicides to survive. Hemp is rich in antioxidants, supports healthy inflammatory response, and tastes delicious too! These no-cook hemp heart bites are portable and make a deliciousand satisfying snack any time of the day.
Ingredients
1 cup pitted Medjool dates
1/2 cup + 2 Tbsp hemp hearts
1/4 cup chia seeds (our favorites are from Barlean's)
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/4 cup dried goji or other berries
1/4 cup dairy-free chocolate chips (we like Enjoy Life brand)
1 tbsp Barlean's organic coconut oil
1 tbsp organic vanilla extract
Directions
Combine everything in a food processor except the 2 Tbsp hemp hearts. Add additional coconut oil or water if mixture is too dry. Roll into bite-sized balls and freeze for at least an hour. Dip the top of the balls in the remaining hemp hearts and enjoy!
