Magical Marinade

Garlic, Mushrooms, and Sea Salt, oh my. This trio of flavors will make this marinade the envy of all your friends. Bring people together for a backyard gathering to rave over this delicious blend. You can use this magical marinade on meat or vegetables to take your grill skill to the next level. 

Garlic is a pantry staple. Many chefs and wise women tout the proven health benefits a clove or two can offer. It can combat flu and colds, support your heart and cardiovascular system, while also adding flavor to your dishes by always keeping garlic on hand. 

Like Garlic, Sea Salt not only adds essential minerals to any meal, but it also enhances the flavor. This spice often gets a bad rap as it’s known to raise blood pressure. But when used in moderation, this tasty addition may reduce fluid retention and improve digestion.

Mushrooms are a quick and easy way to add a smidge of protein, a burst of flavor, and a sweet savoriness to any dish. These immune-boosting sprouts are chock full of selenium, a powerful antioxidant that spends his days fighting free radicals.  For this recipe, pick your favorite edible, soft, kitchen fungi, chop small, and sauté in a little olive oil before adding to the marinade below.

What You’ll Need (Ingredients):

½ cup olive oil 
¼ cup soy sauce
⅓ cup lemon juice (approximately 2 lemons)
1/4 cup chopped and cooked favorite mushroom
4 cloves chopped garlic
A few pinches of sea salt 
8 or 16 oz mason jar with lid
