Layer 1/2 of potatoes, onion, chilies, and cheese in 8×8 greased baking dish.

Dot with 1/2 the margarine.

Repeat layers.

Uncover and bake til golden brown, about 10 minutes.

1 (5 1/2 ounce) packages hash brown potatoes

1 small onions, diced

1 (4 ounce) cans chopped green chilies, drained

1 cup shredded monterey jack cheese

4 tablespoons margarine
