Gluten-Free Applesauce Chocolate Chip Cookies

Moist and delicious, these cookies are gluten-free and will kids and adults alike smile. Organic applesauce lends a great texture and maple syrup adds a unique flavor. These gluten-free cookies are a great option for lunch boxes or party platters.

Ingredients:

2 cups Pamela's Products All Purpose Flour

2/3 cup NOW Foods Sugarless Sugar or organic cane sugar

½ cup unsweetened organic applesauce

½ cup pure maple syrup

1 egg

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon sea salt

½ teaspoon cinnamon

½ cup Maison Orphée grapeseed oil

¼ cup water

¼ cup organic chocolate chips

Directions:

Sift all dry ingredients together. In a large bowl mix together all wet ingredients until emulsified. Add the dry ingredients to the wet mix all at once and mix until just combined; fold in chocolate chips. Spoon onto greased cookie sheet with an inch or two of room in between.

Bake in a 350 F oven for twelve minutes or until the edges are golden and the center is no longer shiny. Remove from sheet to cool before eating.
