Whole Wheat Cheese-less Pizza

A quick and easy pizza that tastes so good you won't even miss the cheese!

Ingredients:

  • 4 whole wheat pitas
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 medium tomato, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup thinly sliced mushrooms
  • 1/2 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 1-2 tabelspoons nutritional yeast (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon of preferred herbs (i.e., basil, oregano, or rosemary)

Steps/Methods:

  1. Preheat oven to 300F/150C .
  2. Place the pitas on a baking sheet.
  3. Spread tomato sauce evenly over pitas.
  4. Arrange tomato slices over the sauce; sprinkle on mushrooms and onion.
  5. Sprinkle nutritional yeast on top (if using).
  6. Cook for 15-20 minutes or until sauce bubbles and crust reaches preferred crispness.
